Reunion – Colorado Springs

Message From Roger Crunk, Unit Director:

I wanted to remind you that this is the year we have our Company reunion and not a 75th RRA reunion.  It has changed from June to August so if you are planning on going, it’s time for you get moving on your reservations.  The new dates are August 10 -16, 2020. If you are on the fence, can’t decide, haven’t been to one before or just procrastinating – it’s time!  The reunions we have that are not part of the Association reunion are more appealing to some – so now is your chance to get the small LRRP feel of just our company combined with the 4th Division Association’s reunion.

This year it will be held in Colorado Springs, CO The 4th I.D. has really done their homework and the legwork for this one.  We will have the opportunity to enjoy all their festivities with the hometown feel of just our guys hanging together.

You must register with the 4th I.D. Assoc. (You do not have to be a member to do this). Just go to  click on 2020 Reunion. There will be a link to the registration form that you can print out, fill out and mail to the address given along with your payment. There is also a schedule of events. And remember to fill out the security form for visits to Ft. Carson

No other registration or fee is required at this time other than letting Wayne or I know that you will be there. Also let us know if you will attend the Unit dinner.  We will have our Unit dinner – Date,  Location and Details on this will be at a later date.

Also, there are lots of things to see and do in the Colorado Springs area at your own choice and time. Day trip to Cripple Creek, CO (one hour drive) which is an old mining town and is now a gambling town for those interested.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo which is just a few miles from hotel. 4250 Cheyenne MT. Zoo Rd. C.S. CO. 80906, 719-633-9925.

Garden of the Gods. A National Natural landmark. Beautiful scenery and worth the time to see. 1805 N 30th St, C.S.CO.  80904, 719-634-6666.

Broadmoor Seven Falls. 1045 Old Gold Camp Rd. C.S, CO 80905.  855-923-7272.

Of course, there is the drive up to Pikes Peak. I’m not sure but it might be a bus tour only during heavy tourist season. I’ll be checking on that. The cog railway to the top is closed until 2021.

Royal Gorge: The highest suspension bridge in the US. About 1 hour and 15 minutes from C.S.CO   4218 County Rd.3A Canon City, Co  81212 I have included as much contact info so you may contact these locations for further information and entrance fees. I hope to see you in June

I’d also like to take a moment to put a plug in for joining the 4th Infantry Division Association.  We have a LRRP chapter  and are required to maintain a minimum of 10 members to keep our chapter.  We can always use a few more members. (This is not required to attend the reunion).
