Dryden, VA – Howard “Shakey” Burns, 65, passed away Sat. (March 22, 2014) at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA.   Howard was born in Newport News, VA and served his country in the U.S. Army.   He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and several other campaign medals.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Lora Burns, his sons, Jeff and Chris Burns; and his daughter, Katie Burns.   Several grandchildren and nieces also survive him.
