Daniel W. Lingle, 55, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Oct. 7, 2004) at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.He was born April 22, 1949, son of Ada White Lingle of New Concord and the late James Leonard Lingle Sr.Mr. Lingle was a decorated Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He retired from Central Ohio Coal Co. as a first class mechanic. He was assistant manager of Western Guernsey Water, attended East Union Presbyterian Church and was a member of Point Pleasant Masonic Lodge 360. He was a football fan, his favorite team was the Steelers and he was a NASCAR fan who loved D.W.He leaves his wife, Judy, of Cambridge; his mother; two sons, Daniel L. Lingle of Cambridge and Jeremy (Beth) Lingle of Zanesville; a daughter, Sherry Kafury of Columbus; two step-sons, Michael (Jan) Burt and James Bo (Ann) Burt, all of Cambridge; a step-daughter, Jody (Joe) Moore of Cambridge; two brothers, Bill (Bernice) Lingle of Cambridge and James (Barbara) Lingle Jr. of Canton; two sisters, Jill Lingle of Springfield, Va., Peggy (Max) Boyd of New Concord; 13 grandchildren, Corey, Tony, Tori, Courtney, Gage, Sydney, Cody, Nicholas, Caitlynn, B.J., Reagan, Mackenna and Chloe; and in-laws, Bob (Shirley) Vance of Cambridge and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge; where services will be 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Gary Moore officiating.Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Claysville.Memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
