From Never Forgotten by Mike Lapolla (4thdivrangers.com)

Died of a ground injury Sept. 16, 1971 Don was a member of the 1st Bde. LRRP’s during 1969. He completed his tour of duty and later re-enlisted and went back to Vietnam into the 1st AVN BDE. While he was in the 1st Bde LRRP’s He pulled many missions, several on my team. He was a quiet person and well liked by all that met or served with him. He will be missed by all that knew him but not forgotten. He was one true LRRP.
