Thanks to Denver Hall for providing pictures and a newspaper article which gave the following information.   Gene Charboneau, 42, of 118 Fort Covington St. Malone N.Y. died of a heart attack while on maneuvers with the National Guard in Bare Hill, N.Y.   Originally from Schenectady, Gene was survived by his wife Carol Smith Charboneau, a son Gene Charboneau Jr, 4 brothers, Richard, Donald, Larry and Raymond Charboneau, all of Schenectady; four sisters, Mrs. Florence McGuinnis, Gloria Borgreen and Shirley Charboneau, all of Schenectady and Carol Charboneau of Ottawa, Canada.

Gene was employed at Tru-Stitch, a member of the American Legion and the National Guard bowling team.   According to Ancestry.com Gene first enlisted in the Army Dec 12, 1961 and was discharged Dec 11, 1967. He reenlisted May 23, 1968 and was discharged May 14, 1971.
