Jan Lee Anderson, K/75 Ranger, passed away April 27, 2007

Jan Lee Anderson, 59, of Freeport, died Friday, April 27, 2007, in his residence. He was born Feb. 18, 1948, in New Kensington, son of the late Gilbert and Irene (Coffman) Anderson. He was a 1966 graduate of Freeport High School and was a self-employed general contractor in the Alle-Kiski Valley area for 35 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a member of VFW Post 92 of Lower Burrell, the Eagles of Freeport, and L.O.O.M. #53 of New Kensington. He enjoyed restoring old boats and being on the river in his restored wheeler “The Clintia.” He was a master diver and received his Coast Guard license. He also enjoyed collecting antique cars and nautical memorabilia, going to the Florida Keys and entertaining family and friends. He is survived by a son, Jsean L. Anderson, of Leechburg; a daughter, Jan L. (Jeffrey L.) Holm, of Leechburg; a special granddaughter, Emi Holm; and grandson, Zack Anderson. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at CLAWSON’S, Second at Main streets, Leechburg, 724-842-1051, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rich V.
