James Morgan Testerman, age 67, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. He was born on January 12, 1950 in Smyth County, VA to the late Lacy and Pauline Virginia Testerman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Joseph E. Testerman, Richard David Testerman and Thomas Jackson Testerman.
Mr. Testerman proudly served his country in the United States Army; 75th Ranger Regiment, during the Vietnam era; serving from 1968 to 1970. He was a proud member of the Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol, or better known as “LRRP.”
He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him!
Family remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Sandra Lee Robinson Testerman; daughter, Amy Martin; sons, Michael Keith Testerman and Robert Grey Testerman, all of Marion, VA; sisters, Carolyn Harrison of Maryland, Betty Hunter of Florida, and Mary Ann Myer of Florida; brother, Marvin Testerman of California; and 3 grandchildren, Eddie Luke Martin, Elijah Thomas Martin and Robert Grey Testerman, all of Marion. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Funeral Home, located in Marion.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Walkers Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Marion.
