Jimmy Ray Roberts, Sr.

Jimmy Ray Roberts, Sr., passed away May 16, 2016 at the VA Medical Center. Visitation will be 4pm-8:30pm Friday and 10am-1pm Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 1pm Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Hopewell Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. Roberts was a Vietnam Veteran. He served in the Army and National Guard. He was a former Chief of the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department and a member of The Gospel Chapel in Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his a daughter, Kimberly Michelle Roberts; son, Jimmy Ray (Bo) Roberts, Jr., sister, Shelia Drury, and in-laws, John and Carrie King.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn King Roberts; daughter, Patricia Roberts Boutwell of Crystal Springs; brother, Clifton Walley of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Patsy Jean Johnston of Lake and Polly Roberts of Memphis, TN; sisters-in-law, Judy Boen and husband Terry of Richland and Betty Caponis of Crystal Springs; brother-in-law, Clevie King and wife Denise of Crystal Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
