Larry Meadows K/75 Ranger, passed away October 3, 2021

Larry Edward Meadows, 73, of Marellen Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home.

Born on March 3, 1948 at Winding Gulf, WV, he was a son of the late Lawrence Edward Meadows and Celesti Tessan Hungate Meadows. He had been a resident of Bluefield for more than 30 years and was retired from Smith Services. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving as a Sergeant in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bobby and Tommy Meadows.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Perry Meadows of the home; sons, Shawn (Angal) Meadows of Cleveland, OH, Robert Meadows of Cleveland, OH, and Matthew Meadows of Beckley, WV; 2 daughters, Brandy (Dustin) Radford of Bluefield, WV and April (Jeff) Hayes of Walkertown, NC; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; multiple honorary grandchildren; a sister, Debbie (Steve) McPherson of Bluefield, WV; and three nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Doyle Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with grandsons, Branden Meadows, Shawn Meadows, Jr., Robert Meadows, Jr., Justin Hayes, Joshua Hayes, and Shane Radford will serve as pallbearers. Dana Coeburn will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
